Welcome to another personal update, for April 2021.
Working class aesthetic? Yeah, it actually is a thing! But how on earth did this ever come about. And why?
Most of us enjoy finding a nice cheap find. Be it from in a shop, a charity shop or even online! And it is even better still if you are able to help the environment. Yet take depop. I shall imagine that most of us have probably heard of it. We may even enjoy using it. Yet if you have had it for years, then you may have noticed how the prices have steered up slowly. And this is problematic…
Most of us enjoy eating food, I expect… But why would someone want too
Here is my personal update post for march, hope you enjoy 🙂
Flex Culture is odd? Who would want to flex their wealth? But without necessarily realising, all of us have the tendency to flex what we have in life. Therefore lets have a deeper look into flex culture, and attempt to explain why this may be apparent.
Girlboss feminism. Sounds so empowering doesn’t it? Yet becoming a “girlboss” requires so much privilege, and even if someone does end up becoming one, how can we know if it can achieve any sort of real sense of happiness.
Productivity culture tells us that there is always something that we could be doing. Always something extra, which of course doing it is far more productive than not choosing to do it. Literally every time. Economically of course it is convenient, but is this really natural, and how bad can it be for our mental health?
I am sure we have all seen slightly “grown up” children’s clothing. While it may seem rather inappropriate, it is also true that the market is only going to respond to what parents want. Nonetheless no one is going to want their children to be badly sexualised, therefore why does it happen so often?
We all love a good shop online. But when it comes to the point where we cannot even enjoy instagram without literally being bombarded with adverts, then surely it is becoming too much…
